  1. ADDBOOK.MDB is a business and personal address book database 
  2. with two main tables (Company Addresses and Personal Addresses) 
  3. and three small related tables containing Business Category, 
  4. Hardware and Software Information.  An AutoExec macro offers 
  5. you a choice of the Business or Personal data entry form, and 
  6. you can switch between forms with buttons.  A Contacts query 
  7. selects persons from the Personal Addresses table who have an 
  8. entry for ID, and displays them on a Contacts form (you can 
  9. switch from this form to the Personal Addresses form if you 
  10. want to see the contact's home address).

  12. There are several reports for letter-sized paper, two mailing 
  13. labels reports (Avery #5160 and #5161) and also rolodex reports 
  14. which print on Avery #5385 laser rolodex cards.

  16. The forms feature command buttons for applying filters, a 
  17. record selector combo box (which picks up the form's filter, if 
  18. any), automatic formatting of phone numbers, pseudo-embedded 
  19. labels, and pop-up hardware and software forms (the buttons for 
  20. these forms are only enabled for companies in the Computer 
  21. category).  They were designed for high-resolution displays 
  22. (the labels in the "embedded label" controls are in 6 pt type).

  24. The reports illustrate extensive use of Iif functions to 
  25. prevent blank rows, and the rolodex reports have embedded 
  26. graphics (HiJaak/Win OLE object).

  28. A BatchExport macro creates dBASE tables by means of several 
  29. make-table queries.  These tables can be used to create YourWay 
  30. 3.0 cardfiles, using the enclosed YWCARDS.WBT (a Norton Desktop 
  31. Batch Runner batch file), or used to import into any program 
  32. that uses dBASE databases.  (Starter .DBF and .YDB files are 
  33. included in the zip file.)  Before using this macro or batch 
  34. file, change the path names to match your computer setup.
